Indonesian presidential spokesman Pracetio Hadi announced that his country has decided to suspend the deployment of its forces in Gaza due to the war in the Middle East.
Hadi said in a statement to reporters in the capital Jakarta on Wednesday that all plans to send troops to Gaza are “on hold,” according to the Indonesian news agency Antara.
Indonesia had earlier announced that about 8,000 troops would be ready for deployment by the end of June, within the framework of the “International Stabilisation Force” established in the context of President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.
