Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei says the latest negotiations between Iran and the United States focused on the Strait of Hormuz, the nuclear issue, war reparations, the lifting of sanctions, and the complete end of the war against Iran and in the region.
Baghaei made the remarks on X early on Sunday, after Iranian and American representatives held 21 hours of negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan. The negotiations began on the fourth day of a two-week ceasefire in the US-Israeli war on Iran.
“Today was a long and demanding day for the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad. “Discussions covered various dimensions of the main negotiation topics, including the Strait of Hormuz, the nuclear issue, war reparations, the lifting of sanctions, and the complete end of the war against Iran and in the region,” he noted.

Iran will not forgive “the heinous crimes” committed by the US and Israel, he emphasized.
“Nothing can or should deter us from fulfilling our great historic mission toward our beloved homeland and the noble Iranian civilization. The Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to use all available tools, including diplomacy, to secure national interests,” he said.
