The Palestinian Astronomical Society said that Eid al-Fitr will be the day after tomorrow, Friday.
The President of the Palestinian Astronomical Society, Daoud Tarwa, said that the crescent of the month of Shawwal for the current Hijri year will be born at dawn tomorrow, Thursday at 03:23 a.m., and the crescent will stay long enough after sunset on Thursday to observe it with astronomical devices.
Al-Tarwa explained that it is impossible for tomorrow, Thursday, to be the first of Shawwal, because there is no crescent to monitor it this evening, and the crescent will not be born, and tomorrow, Thursday, will be the complement of Ramadan, and Friday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
